Operating the palette with touch gestures

You can use touch gestures to operate palettes.

Long-press

Long-press a palette to show a popup menu.Various operations can be performed depending on where you long-press.Some palettes may not be able to display popup menus such as the Tool Property and Sub Tool Detail palettes.

Tap with two fingers on a palette

Tap with two fingers on a palette with a command or property bar to show or hide the bar.By default, this setting is disabled.To enable it, from the Preferences dialog tap Touch Gestures and under Palette, set Two-finger tap to Show/Hide property/command bar.

Quick Access Palette

Changing Quick Access buttons

In the Quick Access palette, dragging on a button allows you to move it within the set.When moving a button, if you long-press instead of dragging, a popup menu will appear, and you will be unable to move the button.

For palettes that allow you to rearrange buttons, if Change Order in the popup menu is set to Ctrl + Drag, you will not be able to move buttons by swiping alone.To do so, set Change Order to Drag.

Tool Palette

Moving a tool

You can drag a tool to move it within in the Tool palette.When moving a tool, if you long-press instead of dragging, a popup menu will appear, and you will be unable to move the button.

Sub tool palette

Moving a Sub Tool or Sub Tool Group

You can drag a Sub Tool or Sub Tool Group to move it within in the Sub Tool palette.When moving a sub tool, if you long-press instead of dragging, a popup menu will appear, and you will be unable to move the button.

Sub Tool Detail Palette

Switching the brush tip shape order

If you are using multiple brush tip shapes, when Material is selected under Tip shape in the Brush tip category, you can swipe up and down on the thumbnail of a particular brush tip shape to swap the brush tip shape order.

The Sub Tool Detail palette is not available in Clip Studio Paint DEBUT.

In addition to using grips on layers, you can reorder layers by first dragging them to the left or right and then to the position where you want to move them.

Scaling the timeline

Pinching out on the Timeline palette will scale up the timeline display.Pinching in will scale it down.

Changing the display order of tracks

You can change the order of tracks by first dragging them to the left or right and then to the position where you want to move them.

Navigator Palette

Scaling the canvas

Pinching out the Navigator palette's image preview will zoom in on the canvas display.Pinching in on the canvas zooms it out.

Rotating the canvas

Rotating the Navigator palette's image preview will rotate the canvas.

Resetting canvas rotation to show the entire canvas

Tap the Navigator palette with three fingers.

For Windows, Press and tap is displayed when Windows gestures is set in Gesture configuration.

Sub View Palette

Zooming in and out of the image in the image preview

Pinching in on an image in the Sub View palette, zooms out the image.Pinching out on an image will zoom in on it.

Rotating the image in the image preview

Like pinching in and out, you can rotate the image in the Sub View palette by rotating it with two fingers.

Auto Action Palette

Changing the order of auto actions and commands

You can change the order of auto actions or commands by dragging them.

Changing button modes

Tap the Auto Action palette with two fingers to switch it to button mode.Tap with two fingers again to return to the previous display.

To use this method, from the Preferences dialog tap Touch Gestures and under Palette, set Two-finger tap to Show/Hide property/command bar.

Material Palette

Moving folders in Tree view

You can change the folder order in tree view by first dragging them to the left or right and then to the position where you want to move them.Note that default folders cannot be moved.
