Resetting Clip Studio Paint

In the case a problem occurs while working with Clip Studio Paint, you can reset it to the original defaults.Show the Reset to initial defaults dialog, select the items to be reset, and tap OK to erase the settings of the selected items and return them to their default settings.

Important

When settings are reset to default, the previous settings will no longer be available.

Before resetting to defaults, exit Clip Studio Paint; for iPad/Android/Chromebook, please ensure the app is not open in the background.The Reset to initial defaults dialog can be displayed in the following ways.

Windows/macOs

Launch Clip Studio, then click PAINT while holding down the Shift key.

iPad

Tap the OS's Settings > Clip Studio and turn Reset to initial defaults on.The Reset to initial defaults dialog will appear the next time you launch Clip Studio Paint.

Galaxy/Android

Press and hold the Clip Studio icon from the home screen.From the menu that appears, tap Reset to original defaults. The Reset to initial defaults dialog will appear the next time you launch Clip Studio Paint.

Chromebook

Right-click the Clip Studio icon from the home screen.From the menu that appears, tap Reset to original defaults. The Reset to initial defaults dialog will appear the next time you launch Clip Studio Paint.
