The Tool palette

Tools in Clip Studio Paint are grouped into categories in the Tool palette.After you click on a Tool group, you can choose from specific sub tools within the group in the Sub Tool palette.

In the Tool palette, the tool buttons are divided into three groups: General tools, drawing tools, and drawing guides/figure tools.

Underneath the tool buttons are three color icons.These are the main color, the sub color, and transparency.

The main color is the primary drawing color.The sub color is a secondary color, which is used as the mixing color on some brushes, and as the background color for certain types of Decoration brush as well as Figure tools.
