The Tool palette

Tools in Clip Studio Paint are grouped into categories in the Tool palette. After you click on a Tool group, you can choose from specific sub tools within the group in the Sub Tool palette.

In the Tool palette, the tool buttons are divided into three groups: General tools, drawing tools, and drawing guides/figure tools.

Underneath the tool buttons are three color icons. These are the main color, the sub color, and transparency.

The main color is the primary drawing color. The sub color is a secondary color, which is used as the mixing color on some brushes, and as the background color for certain types of Decoration brush as well as Figure tools.
